More Americans To Hit The Road

AAA predicts busier highways and airports this Thanksgiving.

Your plans are probably already in place for Thanksgiving.

Not even gas prices 20-cents a gallon higher than last year or an economy that's still sputtering are expected to keep Americans from traveling this year.

"After two slow years the forecast for Thanksgiving is bright," says AAA's Bob Darbelnet.

AAA expects a big jump in travel that will likely result in crowded roads and airports.

The travel club predicts over 80-percent of Americans will drive or fly on average more than 800 miles starting next Wednesday to be with family on the day of thanks.

AAA also expects new screening rules at the airport will make the boarding process even slower.

The advice for all travelers: Don't forget to pack some patience.
