Drivers in Mission will remember a Valley soldier daily on one particular road now.

In a special ceremony, the City of Mission unveiled a new street that is named after U.S. Army Corporal Jose Rubio. The Rubio family contacted the Mayor and requested to have the street renamed where the soldier's wife and child live on that street.

Rubio died March 24th, 2008 in a roadside explosion while serving our country in Iraq.
