Mission Police Investigating Home Invasion

MISSION- An Upper Valley man is in stable condition after being stabbed several times in his home as police search for the suspect.

It happened at a trailer park off Holland Avenue and Two mile line in Mission around two in the morning.
 Police say a suspect broke into the home and went in the victim's bedroom and attacked him in bed. There's no official word why the suspect attacked the homeowner, but they believe the crime was initially a burglary.

"In the residence there's blood throughout the residence there's a couple of knives and a machete has been found that according does not belong to him. we're going to continue the investigation he is in stable condition he's going to be transported to mission pd where he's going to be providing a statement," said Assistant Police Chief Martin Garza

Police describe the suspect as a slim man 35 to 50 years in age and ran southwest from the home.
