MISSION — Labor Day weekend is just around the corner and with that comes increased patrols.

With a grant from the Texas Department of Transportation, Mission Police will be out in full force this Friday through August 3rd looking for drunk drivers.
Officers are initiating a zero tolerance policy.

"We will be looking for drunk drivers, people with open containers, DUI's, under the influence...you're going to jail," said Mission Corporal, Manny Casas.

Corporal Sasas says these last weeks of summer is when deaths rise due to drinking and driving.
