A New York man was in custody after a Mission hotel employee discovered high-end marijuana in his room.

Frank Thomas Perry was arrested on Monday by Mission police after a La Quinta worker found more than 21 pounds of hydroponic marijuana, along with packaging material, in his room.

Officials say the man was a regular at the hotel and visited the Valley at least twice a month. Perry allegedly used the hotel room to package and mail the drugs to cities across the country.

Mission Police Officer Lt. Jody Tittle stated, "At this moment we don't have any leads as to where he was receiving it. We do have a little bit of information on where he was sending it to, investigators are still working on the case to see what other kind of leads or other information can develop from this."

Perry is charged with possession of marijuana and has a bond set at $25,000 dollars.
