Mission Man Convicted for Child Pornography

MISSION - A Mission man has been convicted of receiving child pornography via the internet. Julian Gonzalez, 31, was arrested in March 2011.

An investigation done by Alton Police, Texas Rangers and Homeland Security Investigations, discovered 136 movies of children engaging in sexually explicit conduct. Several of the images included children under the age of 12.

Gonzalez pled guilty to downloading these images and faces a potential sentence of no less than five years, but up to 20 years in prison. He also faces a $250 thousand fine.

Gonzalez will be sentenced in October
