MISSION, TX — Local Chambers from across the state of Texas convened Monday night June 23, 2014 for the TCCE Annual Excellence Awards. The awards honor organizations for exceptional efforts in marketing, communications and media outreach. Awards are judged in 7 separate categories: Social Media Marketing and Communications, Brochures, Chamber Map, Magazine or Community Guide, Print/Electronic News, Outstanding Chamber Website, and Outstanding Traditional Marketing Campaign.
In the category of Marketing Campaigns the Mission Chamber was honored as the best in Texas, winning first place for its “Go Mission” project.
“This is an extremely competitive process,” said Ray Hernandez, TCCE Vice-Chairman of Communications and 2014 Media Awards Chair. “This year we had a record number of entries from around the state. Rest assured the winners tonight faced stiff competition from fellow chambers of commerce. Their victory truly indicates the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce is the best in 2014 for Marketing Campaigns.”
The overall competition had more than 225 entries from which the best were judged by panels of experts in the specific field around the state. “This prestigious honor demonstrates the phenomenal work done by the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce organizationally and in the community” said Bruce Partain, 2014 TCCE Board Chairman and President/CEO of the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce.
“We are much honored by this recognition of our efforts, and are very proud to serve our members and the communities in the Greater Mission Area.” said George Myers, President /CEO. “We feel that this type of statewide recognition really validates the new direction that the Chamber has been moving towards.”
The Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives (TCCE) is the professional society of chamber of commerce executives and professional staff in the state of Texas.
