In an effort to help the City of Matamoros, Mexico to build their own animal shelter, Brownsville city officials gave representatives from Matamoros a tour of the city's animal shelter.

The Mayor of Matamoros was accompanied by Brownsville Mayor Pat Ahumada at the animal shelter on Wednesday morning. They walked through the facility looking at the different types of services the shelter has to offer. Currently, the City of Matamoros has a big problem with stray dogs and they want to solve that problem immediately. The Mayor of Matamoros hopes to have a animal shelter of it's own very soon.
