Mexican Government Says They are Winning the War on Drugs
Mexican officials say the government strategy in the war against drug cartels is working.
The National Security spokesman delivered the statement at a news conference in Mexico City. He said in March of 2009, the government identified the 37 most dangerous criminal leaders in Mexico and published their names. More than half of them have not been able to operate, according to the spokesman. He said the figure represents severe and irreparable damage to the operation of criminal gangs.
