Mexican federal police have arrested Mario Jimenez Perez, who has ties to the Zeta drug cartel, and possibly involved in the ambush slaying of agent Zapata.

Officials say Perez is the finance chief for the Zetas in San Luis Potosi where Zapata was shot to death. More than a dozen suspects have been arrested and believed to have been connected to the attack on the agent. Two weeks ago the Mexican army arrested six people who they say were involved in the deadly ambush.
