In Mercedes a suspected shooter is now in custody. He managed to escape Mercedes Police and Weslaco Swat units when they surrounded his home early this morning.

A tip led police to a home on North Gerogia Street where Garcia turned himself in without a fight. Police expect to charge Garcia with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
