McKeever Elementary robotics team competes at state
PSJA, TX — Four students from PSJA ISD's McKeever Elementary in Alamo competed at the Annual State Robotics Competition hosted by TCEA, Saturday, April 12, 2014 in Deer Park, TX.
The student team placed 32 out of 60 teams at the State level. Both Elementary and Middle School teams were at the event.
The goal of the TCEA Robotics Competition is to inspire young people to become science and technology leaders. Robotics is an invaluable resource for teaching science, technology, engineering and math or STEM skills.
Robotics also helps develop critical thinking, collaboration and problem solving skills.
"In the end, these four team members came out winners, because they are the 32nd Best Robotics Team in the State of Texas," said Team Sponsor Michael Gonzalez. "Seeing the joy in their eyes made all our dedication worth while."
Congratulations students and sponsors!
