MCALLEN - It was still dark this morning when a 16 year old girl was hit by a car while walking to school. In the intersection of 21st and Harvey. That's just four blocks from McAllen High. Police have not released her identity. She died at the scene. The female driver did reportedly stop and cooperate with Police. Counselors have been made available to grieving students.
