A McAllen teen is being charged with two third-degree felonies following a hit-and-run auto-pedestrian accident on Sunday.

Eighteen-year-old Armando Isaias Flores was formally charged with accident involving injury or death in addition to tampering with evidence.

The accident took place on Sunday at approximately 7:00 p.m. at the 2300 Block of W. Expressway 83 W/B frontage road.  The victim was an adult male whose identity has not been released.  He was taken to the hospital to treat injuries to his head and a broken leg.

Police say Flores fled the scene where he injured the pedestrian.  The suspect's vehicle was located and Flores was taken into custody.

If convicted, Flores could face up to 10 years in prison for each felony count and up to a $10,000 fine per charge.
