MCALLEN - McAllen Independent School District handed out over 6,800 ipads and ipod touches today to their students. It's all part of the Transforming Learning in the Classroom project.

The school district came up with the idea, in conjunction with Abilene Christian University, in February 2011. So after a year of planning, students finally have their new technology in hand.
