McAllen Shooting Leaves One Man Wounded

MCALLEN - McAllen police are looking for a suspect that shot and wounded a man around 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening.

Police said it happened on the 2500 Block of Mobile Avenue. Police received a report that a man was stumbling down the road with a gun shot wound. 

 "This is an ongoing investigation we have a victim that sustained a gun shot wound to the upper chest area. He is 30 year's of age and he was taken to the hospital," said Sgt. Joel Morales, McAllen Police Department.

Luckily, police said his injuries are non-life threatening, and that the male victim should recover. Police are still investigating the reason the victim was shot and developing a suspect description.

"We have not released a description yet, as soon as we can get that we will," said Sgt. Morales.
