Several students in McAllen were affected by the fire and ISD officials want to make sure they're still able to get to school. At least 19 students from three different schools were left homeless by the fire. The district is providing buses to pick students up to and from school. Principals, nurses and counselors have been meeting with students and family members to make sure they continue their studies.
Even though most of the kids are still attending classes officials say they will still need additional help.
