McAllen police searching for vehicle of interest in purse robberies

The McAllen Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating a vehicle believed to be involved in several robberies.

Detectives are searching for a blue 2 door colored Fiat 500 believed to be used in two purse robberies dating November 23rd and the 25th.

In the first incident, occurring on November 23rd, the victim reported to police that as she walked in the parking lot in the 1300 block of South 10th Street a person inside a car reached out and grabbed her purse and left the scene.

Also, on November 25th at around 2:15 p.m. a woman, walking back to her vehicle in the parking area on the 3300 block of Expressway 83, had her purse stolen when someone reached out and grabbed it from her in the same manner as the first incident.
