McAllen police issue arrest warrant for woman in murder investigation

MCALLEN, TX — McAllen police officers investigating the murder on April 25, 2014 at the 3800 Block of S. M Street (west side alley) have located and seized one of the five suspect vehicles.
McAllen police officers executed a search warrant on May 18, 2014 at a residence located at 7618 Wagon Trail Drive and discovered one of the suspect vehicles dismantled. The suspect vehicle discovered was the blue Chevrolet pickup truck which was in a state of dismantlement in efforts to dispose of the evidence. Parts to both of the suspect vehicles were found there and included parts to the white truck. The dismantled blue Chevrolet was discovered inside the garage.
McAllen police officers spoke to a female at that address and she provided a false name to investigating police officers. Investigating police officers discerned she was a resident at that address and learned her real name.
Warrants of arrest were issued for Chimear Michelle Caldwell for Failure to Identify and for Tampering with Physical Evidence a Third Degree Felony. The investigation is ongoing and police expect to issue more arrest warrants.
Detectives are searching for Chimear Michelle Caldwell, 32, she is described as a black female, approximately 5’ 3” in height, approximately 140 pounds in weight, brown hair, and brown eyes.
