In McAllen, shots rang out in a south side neighborhood around 5pm last night.

Police say the shooting occurred on Norma Avenue and 34th St. after two vehicles collided head-on. Police aren't sure at this point if the two are related and several people were rushed to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries and several were also arrested.

Witnesses say they heard 20 to 30 gunshots and the case remains under investigation.
