McALLEN - The police department is partnering with Walgreens and several other local businesses for their Christmas for Kids toy drive.
Every year the police department provides toys to about 5,000 area children. Businesses like Walgreens, IBC Bank, Doctor's Hospital at Renaissance and many more donate money to buy toys for the children. This is the 10th year for the event and the McAllen police department says they're proud to be giving away more than 50,000 toys.
If you would like to sign up your child to receive a toy just go down to the McAllen Police Department and register your child. Christmas for Kids will be held December 17th at the McAllen Municipal Park.
