The McAllen Police Department continues to search for an elderly man who was reported missing on Tuesday.

Police have been searching for Jose Alvaro Martinez-Perez, 91, who has been missing since Tuesday, May 13th and was last seen around 3:30 p.m. the same day in the area of  23rd Street and Dallas Ave. in McAllen.

Detectives have learned that Mr. Martinez-Perez crossed into Reynosa, Tamaulipas and family members are concerned about his well being.

Mr. Martinez-Perez is described as Hispanic, white hair, 5'5" in height, brown eyes and weighing about 120 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt with white stripes, a white cowboy hat and black pants.

He was driving a white 1997 Ford Explorer with Texas plates BV3-3050.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Martinez-Perez is urged to call McAllen Police at 681-2000.
