McAllen man arrested and charged with aggravated robbery

A McAllen man has been arrested and charged with aggravated robbery of a Stripes convenience store.

On Friday, November 8th McAllen police were called to the 2800 block of North 10th Street in regards to a robbery.

The store clerk reported that a man had entered the store and displayed a knife demanding money and fleeing the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

During their investigation, detectives received information of Joseph Patrick Boone, 27, being a prime suspect in the crime.

Boone was arraigned on Saturday, November 9th on a aggravated robbery charge and his bond was set at $50,000 dollars.
