Things are slowly getting back to normal at McAllen Miller International Airport after days of freezing temperatures cancelled several flights.
The first round of travelers came in around noon.
Several people gathered at the terminal to wait for their loved ones. Some drove hours braving the icy roads just to pick up a friend.
Even though many passengers will arrive home today there are still a number of cancelled flights. Several airlines are still dealing with delays.

But for a group of friends who flew in from las vegas, delays at the airport meant an extra day of fun.

Airport officials are suggesting to contact your airline before heading out to the airport...
They say they expect the day to run smoother now that planes are able to take off and land from the runways...
