McAllen Miller International Airport has been granted almost $11 million dollars in federal funding.
A little more than $4 million dollars from the funding will be used to expand the terminal and the rest will go toward improving airport security and bag screening procedures. Congressman Henry Cuellar will formally announce this federal grant next Monday at McAllen's City Hall.
