On Saturday mayor Pat Ahumada was seeking reelection. Unofficial election results showed the mayor finished in 4th place out of five candidates.
The new mayor will be Tony Martinez who will be sworn in next week. At mayor Ahumada's last commissioner meeting this is what he had to say.

"Humbling and a great honor and no one can take that away from me, I will always cherish it and always be found of it."

The mayor also touched on when he was charged in 2009 for depositing a $26,000 city check into his personal own personal bank account and was found not guilty.

"How it happened nobody will every know because we don't know how that check got to me but to promote it and seem like I did something wrong when two jury found that I didn't commit a crime and continue to use it, I will leave it to my maker to the judge, I know my heart is pure never did I benefit from the community."

This would have also been the last commissioner meeting for Charlie Atkinson who represented District 2. He was not present at the meeting. Write in candidate Jessica Tetreau who won on Saturday was at Tuesday's meeting and will take over that seat.
