A massive brush fire filled the sky with thick black smoke earlier today as Firefighters battled windy weather and fire for hours. The fire started around 11:30 a.m. and spread quickly. Officials believe the fire started in back of several businesses.
Thefire could be seen from miles away but for some it was way too close to home.

Santiago Zuniga's family owns a car lot on Military Road. He says he's worried about the family business.
Investigators say that they don't know what exactly started the fire but they do know it was small.
The wind made it almost impossible for Firefighters to battle the blaze.

Windy conditions made the fire spread quickly. Officials say that wasn't their only challenge.
As a safety precaution officials closed down parts of twenty third street for hours and made sure curious drivers kept their distance.
Investigators say they don't think the fire was started deliberately but are still planning a full investigation.
