Many People Beginning Their Workouts
McALLEN - Many people didn't waste any time trying to shed those pounds after Christmas as several of them spent the day burning off those Holiday calories.
Studies show the average person eats over six thousand calories on Christmas Day and because people generally gain up to three pounds over the Holidays, this is the perfect time of the year for setting weight loss goals. Trainers say January is typically one of the busiest months for gyms as more people tend to sign up for new memberships after the Holidays.
However, some studies indicate many people will wait for warmer temperatures before starting to work out seriously or they'll rely on non-traditional workouts to help them shed the extra pounds.
