Man wanted on aggravated robbery arrested at port of entry
HIDALGO CITY, TEXAS (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — U.S. Custom officers arrested a McAllen man wanted for aggravated robbery.
On Sunday, May 26, Custom agents encountered Francisco Javier Leal at the Hidalgo/Reynosa port of entry as a pedestrian.
The officer discovered, from a law enforcement database, that Lead had a possible arrest warrant from the McAllen Police Department.
A further investigation revealed Leal was wanted for a aggravated robbery charge back on 2010 in an attempted automobile theft.
Leal was detained and handed over to the McAllen Police Department and awaiting arraignment.
