Man Riding Bicycle Struck by Car

A 30 year-old man remains in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle.

The incident occurred on the southbound lane on Expressway 77 and the Merryman exit. A car collided with 30 year-old Eric Garcia who's was riding his bike along with his father. The driver of the vehicle stopped to help Garcia, who was immediately transported to a near by hospital, but was in critical condition at this time.

I think they should put in more bicycle lanes for the safety of all. To all of the avid cyclists out there, please be courteous to others on the road and not ride side by side.

It is proposed to build a dedicated pathway for the bicycle for their safety. The motorist drive fast on an open lane and overlook the bikers. Many accidents have occurred but still it does not took any lesson from it.
