You wouldn't think a grocery store cashier is a high-risk job, but one HEB cashier now says otherwise after he was punched in the face by a customer.

Mission police have surveillance video of the assault, which took place on April 29 at the HEB located on Conway Avenue.

The man seen in the video pretends to pay for his groceries while the cashier bags them, but when he finishes, the man punches the victim in the face.

"He wanted the cashier to sack everything," said Sgt. Manny Casas with the Mission Police Department.  "Once everything was sacked and the cashier told him the amount, the pay was that he sucker punched him with the right hand and struck the cashier right on the left eye."

The cashier has reportedly quit since the incident.

Mission police are still looking for the suspect.  He is said to be about 5'7" or 5'8" in height, weighing about 170 pounds with a shaved head and light-skinned complexion.

If you have any information on this person's identity or his whereabouts, call Mission Crime Stoppers at (956) 581-8477.
