BROWNSVILLE - Cameron county prosecutors say Luis Garcia is facing his seventh DUI and was in court on Tuesday.
Mr. Garcia is accused of driving under the influence after being stopped by a police officer last year on Central Avenue. On the first day of trial, a police officer testified that when he pulled Garcia over his eyes were bloodshot and noticed a half empty beer can in the vehicle. The District Attorney's office says Garcia served time for a 1980 murder conviction and he's been arrested more than twenty times for public intoxication. All that, on top of being convicted of DUI six other times.
