Mercedes police are investigating a homicide after they found a body on the frontage road embankment on Thursday.

Mercedes Police Chief Olga Moldando says the body was found near Mile 2 West and east Expressway 83 on the grassy median. A Justice of the Peace pronounced the man dead at 11:30am and is described as being in his 20's. Police believe the man had been dead for at least a day and they are unsure how the man died.
