Man arrested for allegedly pointing his fingers like a gun in a movie theater in Texas.
Police in Texas arrested a man who they say was pointing his hand like a gun and prenteding to shoot into a crowded movie theater.
Nobody was hurt.
The 54-year-old man now faces a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge.
The movie, World War Z, is a horror film, but the experience went beyond the screen.
"It was an extremely packed theatre. There were people on all sides and it was already uncomfortable."
It was date night for Caroline and her husband Robert.
After about an hour and a half into the film....
"Right over our heads. Walking right past us. It seemed like a rude thing to do. We turned around to see what was going on. ">
"It was dark and nobody could really tell especially if you were in the back and you just see a guy going 'choo choo choo' "
Police say 54-year-old Darrell Reynolds from Bryan walked into the theatre and stayed for about a minute.
Witnesses say he was acting like he was shooting with his hand.
"He was shooting at the screen and then shot a few at the audience and then shot back at the screen and then turned and left."
"He was as close to you as you and me are?"
"The rumor quickly spread that it was a gun and everyone is rushing to the exit quickly. We couldn't have got out if we wanted to."
Reynolds was arrested for disorderly conduct in the lobby by a police officer on duty .
"It will not be tolerated in Bryan. It is an offensive gesture. It alarmed people, and we took the appropriate actions."
Reynolds bonded out of jail, but police say his name has been flagged for security purposes.
