Man Charged With Animal Cruelty After 2 Dogs Are Found Dead

Brownsville police say Thursday at a home on Johnston street animal control found 7 dogs two of them were found dead and the others were badly neglected. Police have arrested this man Eleazar Flores Jr. for cruelty for non livestock animal

Police say when the dogs were found there was heat index of 106 degrees and Flores failed to provide food and water for the dogs.

When officers talked to flores he stated he had not recently checked on the dogs and some of the new ones were sick. Police say the dogs were without food and water for 20 hours. They also add none of the dogs had been vaccinated and were infested with fleas and ticks.

Flores was place under arrest fro cruelty to non livestock and transported to the city jail without incident.
