COMBES — Arson charges have been filed on Efren Torres over Wednesday brush fire in Cameron county. Police arrested Torres for starting a fire to burn branches and the fire getting out of control. Five acres burned damaging a warehouse and heavy equipment. Torres was charged with arson because he did not apply for a burn permit which happens to be free.
