A Brownsville man was arrested by police after he ordered several dogs to give chase to a Border Patrol agent on duty.

On Friday, August 8th police were dispatched to Calle Milpa Verde in reference to an assault of a Border Patrol agent .

It was reported that the Border Patrol agent was chasing a group of illegal immigrants through an empty lot in the area when a man ordered four medium sized dogs to give chase to the agent.

The agent advised the man, later identified as Luis Enrique Garcia, 22, to call off the dogs but he refused and ran inside a home. The agent did fear for his life but was not harmed by the dogs.

Officers did locate Garcia and charged him with aggravated assault on a public servant and handed a $25,000  bond.
