Man arrested for impersonating public servant, stealing wallets

BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Brownsville police arrested a man, over the weekend, accused of impersonating a public servant and stealing the wallets of his victims.
In the early hours of Sunday, September 8th, a report was filed by several victims against Pablo Juarez, 43, who was alleged to have flashed his headlights at a motorist and having them pull over on the 300 block of N. Iowa Avenue.
The victims were told to get out of their vehicle and Juarez proceeded to pat them down and took possession of their wallets and left.
Through the detectives investigation, the license plate number was tracked down to Juarez and arrest warrants were issued on two counts of theft and two counts of impersonating a public servant.
Juarez was arrested on Saturday, September 14th on the 1300 block of Lilac and handed a $50,000 bond .
