Man arrested for concealing a piece of brisket in his pants
HARLINGEN, TX (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Harlingen police arrested a man after he allegedly attempted to steal a piece of brisket inside his pants.
On Friday, January 24th at around 2:30 p.m. Harlingen police were dispatched to a local H.E.B. store located at 1103 Morgan Blvd. in reference to a man being detained by store Loss Prevention officers.
The officers reported to police they had witnessed the man, identified as Francisco Gomez Taylor Jr., 40, concealing a piece of brisket, valued at over $28, inside his waistline and then exiting without paying for the item.
Taylor was arrested and during a records check it was revealed that he had previous convictions for theft increasing the current charge to felony theft and a $10,000 bond.
