Man and juvenile charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
HARLINGEN, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — One man and a juvenile have been arrested for displaying and threatening people with weapons.
On Saturday, June 29, at 2 a.m. police were called to the 700 block of North First Street in reference to a disturbance.
Police interviewed several witnesses and victims and were told that two males started an argument and attempted to start a fight with the victims.
During the altercation both males displayed weapons with the adult male, later identified as Jose Luis Rodriguez, 20, waving a knife and the juvenile, 15, who displayed a black handgun, pointing it and making verbal threats.
Both Rodriguez and the juvenile then left the location making their way across the street to another residence. Police were able to locate both individuals with Rodriguez being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and handed a bond of $30,000.
