You can find a lot of things on Craig's List, but one man is accused of posting ads to sell another woman's  baby. According to reports, he felt the 2 month-old got in the way of a romantic relationship with the mother, Hazel Sanchez has the story.

There are things we're used to seeing sold on Craigslist, baby strollers, baby high chairs, baby cribs, but a real baby?

Barbara Slayton, "You don't do that...a baby?! Come on."

Prosecutors say 23 year-old Paul Marquez posted an ad in the Staten Island section of Craigslist, attempting to sell the baby of a 19 year-old woman he was dating, the price tag, $100.

Hazel Sanchez, "Investigators say Marquez had been chatting online with the baby's mother and they'd been out a few times. Marquez told police he got upset when the women wasn't showing much interest in him. So, was revenge, he posted two online ads to sell her baby."

Under the baby and kids section, his post, riddled with spelling errors read: "Heyy I have a 2 month old baby...she loves to play nd have her little fun but there is only 1 problem, the doctor said that she has asthma nd if she turns a certain way she can stop breathing, she's really getting on my nerves nd I don't want her Please email me"

Marquez gave out the mother's phone number and she called police after someone called her offering to buy the baby.

People who know Marquez are stunned by the allegations, especially since he has his own 2 year-old daughter.

James Scott, neighbor, "He's quiet. That's all I can say. He don't look like that type of kid."

Friend, "He's got his own child. He's basically a doting father and he probably did it as a joke."

Marquez probably isn't laughing now, as he sits in jail facing multiple charges including endangering the welfare of a child.

He is being held on $1,000 bail, he has pleaded not guilty to the charges and if convicted, he faces up to a year in prison.
