Los Ebanos ferry crossing closed due to high water levels
LOS EBANOS, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — The Los Ebanos, Texas international ferry crossing has closed due to high water levels in the Rio Grande river.
The rise of the water is due to the increase in water released by Mexico and the United States for irrigation purposes. All traffic will be re-routed to the Anzalduas bridge and Rio Grande City.
The reopening of the ferry crossing will depend on the safe water level of operation.
