The freezing temperatures have some Valley growers trying to save their crops and losing millions of dollars in produce.

At Loop Farms, located in Brownsville, Leonard Loop was having employees picking lemons and Naval oranges off the trees. Mr. Loop also was flooding the crop of trees to protect them from the freeze by increasing the ground temperature a degree or two warmer. Mr. Loop says that 28 degrees is the key number and if the temperature drops under 28 degrees for more than five hours, his trees are in trouble.
