Long Lost Love
Childhood sweethearts reunite and marry after nearly 70 years.
Theirs is a love story decades in the making.
A Florida couple is celebrating their first anniversary as husband and wife after falling in love almost 70 years ago.
86-year-old Chuck McAdoo was only a young teenager when he first laid eyes on Rosella Smiley.
The two began dating, but shortly afterwards Chuck joined the Navy, fought in World War II, and never heard from his sweetheart again.
Chuck and Rosella eventually married other people.
67 years later chuck, now a widower living in St. Petersburg, Florida set out to find Rosella.
He made a few phone calls, and couldn't believe his luck.
A widow herself, Rosella was living just two hours away in Mount Dora.
They reunited and got married on Valentine's Day last year.
The story isn't just romantic.
According to "Live with Regis and Kelly", it's one of the world's greatest love stories.
Charles and Rosella appeared on the show Friday.
The lovebirds say their trip to the Big Apple will be the honeymoon they never had.
Their love advice this Valentine's Day?
"Follow your heart, and not to give up," says Chuck. "If you see someone you love, and you truly love them, keep after them until you finally marry them."
