A music festival that rivals one in Austin will be taking center stage starting this Friday.
A star studded lineup with headliner, WIllie Nelson, is in place this year for the second annual South Padre Island Music Festival. Tens of thousands of other tuned-in music fans will be on a white sand beach, grooving to a killer lineup of bands from around the world on ten venues.
Founder of the event and a Valley native, Tim Hayden says, he wanted to create the music festival so locals can stay here and enjoy incredible music while on South Padre Island.
The festival benefits Sea Turtle Incorporated which helps in protecting the Kemp's Ridley sea turtle, and the Surfrider Foundation, dedicated to protecting the world's oceans, waves and beaches for all of us to enjoy.
