New photographs, taken before and after hurricane Ike, are showing the devastation the storm left behind.
Crews with the U.S. Geological Survey took these photos of Crystal Beach, Texas on September 9th, then again on the 15th, two days after Ike hit. Before the storm, dozens of homes sat on stilts, surrounded by green trees and grass.
The aftermath, shows the dramatic transformation of homes disappeared or were leveled to the ground and you can see sand and debris spread out for miles.
