Fall classes at the University of Texas at Brownsville start on Wednesday and those who took summer classes did not miss any lectures, though the campus was closed during hurricane Dolly.
That is because of a program called Tegrity. It allows students to learn through the Internet and professors can record their lectures and students can watch them on line. Joe Locker is a professor in the nursing program and he posted his lectures during the hurricane.
Currently, 90 professors at the university are using Tegrity, this fall semester, UTB hopes to get up 130 professors to participate in the on line classroom.
