Craiglist Call Girls in the Valley

By Mark Nino

Prostitution in the Valley has gone high-tech and in this special report, Kenny Lopez investigates the wild world of women offering sex on the world wide web.

Craiglist.org is a hip website, loaded with ads, where you can find, sofas, concert tickets, you name it, it's there, at a cheap cost. Now, women wanting to make some cash, are offering pleasure, with a price tag.

Just hours before we met Nadia, she could not stop saying, yes, yes, yes. The days of soliciting prostitutes, only on the streets are gone, it appears, selling sex on the Internet is a new way for these women to make money. Craigslist.org is typically a site to find roommates, jobs, and now surprisingly, erotic services.

Law enforcement, and many here in the Valley are shocked at what these call girls are doing. We decided to find out, what these Craigslist call girls are all about. Are these nearly-nude photos real depictions of their bodies? Is it all just a sexual scam?

For the girls, talk is cheap, money does all the talking. One call girl, who calls herself, Crystal, agreed to meet, we headed there, in disguise. We waited and waited some more for Crystal who never showed up.

After Crystal left us hanging, we set up a date with another gal, Playgirl Princess, also known as, Nadia. Our camera crew hid behind a nearby hotel dumpster, as we waited for Nadia to show up. She did show up and didn't want to speak to us about the service and why she got into prostitution.

We took it to the District Attorney's office to see what they knew or didn't known about the Internet service. They said "they are always positive in trying to raise the public awareness of any criminal activity, so we just want to be aware of that."

On the site, Craigslist owners clearly state, they are not responsible for content or services offered. Law enforcement says they have not been cracking down on these Craigslist call girls. They say, "John Bust" and prostitution stings are more of a priority.

We'll be sure to follow up with officers, to see, if now, they will be patrolling the Internet for local prostitutes.
