Harlingen's Buchanan Street has seen a recent spike in criminal activity with stabbings and shootings, now a possible case of auto arson.

Crime-ridden Buchanan street is experiencing a string of bad incidents, the latest, a car going up in flames. Dion Gobellan, says when he saw the flame engulfed van, he immediately called 911 and then captured it all on his camera.

Police and fire investigators are not saying if anyone was driving the car, or if it was parked, but Gobellan says, one thing's for sure, this car is toast. Gobellan, says he's glad he took these snapshots, because in his own way, he feels, he's documented all the outrageous Buchanan street incidents.

Harlingen firefighters and police says they are still investigating the cause of this blazing car.
