Construction is underway on one of the Valley's busiest roadways and it is causing major traffic delays and greatly impacting local businesses on the stretch of the project.

Traffic delays are not the only problem and businesses are getting hit hard such as during the lunch hour. The Subway located off the road is usually packed and the seats are full, but not anymore. This is causing the manager to cut back on employee hours and their not happy.

When the project is complete, transportation officials expect a big change from the current situation. It will make it a lot easier to get through this intersection to get to your destination than before.

Tex-DOT says you might have to wait awhile for the construction to complete the one mile which will take till November.
